The aim of the program is to strengthen and contribute to developing collaborative and exchange relationships between the best university and research institutions around the world.<\/p>\n\t<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hsLfkwLROnQ?si=gHza4jVpUDW7pcyU\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<h2>\n\t\tUNESCO CHAIR IN GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP EDUCATION\n\t<\/h2>\n\tIn 2021 the University of Bologna was recognized as the first UNESCO chair in Global Citizenship Education, with prof. Massimiliano Tarozzi, professor of General and Social Pedagogy at the Department of Philosophy of the University of Bologna, where in 2017 the first International Research Center on Global Citizenship Education in Italy was activated.<br \/>\nGlobal Citizenship Education (GCED) is a theoretical framework that highlights how education can develop the knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes students need to ensure a more just, peaceful, tolerant, inclusive, and sustainable world (UNESCO, 2014). UNESCO is a holistic approach that emphasizes the interconnection of phenomena in the various local, national and global dimensions, as well as social, economic, natural and cultural, while linking the cognitive, socio-emotional and behavioral dimensions of learning.\n<h2>\n\t\tOBJECTIVES\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<ol>\n<li>Promote and disseminate UNESCO&#8217;s approach to GCED throughout the academic community and contribute to its further conceptualization, in close collaboration with other UNESCO Chairs in related fields<\/li>\n<li>Promoting global citizenship education in higher education<\/li>\n<li>Promoting the 2030 Agenda also in relation to the strategic objectives of the University of Bologna<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/unescochairgced.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/unesco-paris.jpg\" alt=\"UNESCO Paris\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"581\" width=\"1201\" title=\"unesco-paris\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\"  \/>\n\t\tUNESCO, Paris , France\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ABOUT The Chairs&#8217; programme supports the creation of UNESCO Chairs and UNITWIN networks was conceived and launched in 1992 by UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.
