{"id":4256,"date":"2026-02-28T10:09:47","date_gmt":"2026-02-28T09:09:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/unescochairgced.it\/?p=4256"},"modified":"2026-03-05T10:19:58","modified_gmt":"2026-03-05T09:19:58","slug":"lunch-time-seminar-series-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/unescochairgced.it\/en\/2026\/02\/28\/lunch-time-seminar-series-4\/","title":{"rendered":"LUNCH-TIME SEMINAR SERIES"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>As part of the <strong>Lunch-Time Seminar Series<\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.depaul.edu\/faculty\/jason-goulah\">Jason Goulah<\/a><\/strong>, Professor of Bilingual-Bicultural Education at <strong>DePaul University (Chicago)<\/strong> and Director of the <strong>Institute for Daisaku Ikeda Studies in Education<\/strong>, will deliver a seminar titled \u201cValue-Creating Education for Global Citizenship.\u201d His research focuses on Ikeda\/Soka studies, socio-ecological justice, and the relationship between language, culture, and education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this talk, Goulah will explore the emerging field of value-creating education for global citizenship, drawing on the educational thought and practice of the Japanese educators <strong>Tsunesabur\u014d Makiguchi (1871\u20131944), J\u014dsei Toda (1900\u20131958), and Daisaku Ikeda (1928\u20132023)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The presentation will examine the convergences and divergences in their approaches to value creation in education, focusing on themes such as educator agency, youth empowerment, and the pursuit of happiness through socially contributive ways of living.
