EDUCATING TO GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP IN HIGHER EDUCATION

Organized by the UNESCO Chair in Global Citizenship Education at the University of Bologna in collaboration with Academic Network of Global Education and Learning (ANGEL) and the cooperation of Global Education Network Europe (GENE).
The Conference is the official launch of the UNESCO Chair in Global Citizenship Education in Higher Education established at the University of Bologna, assigned to Professor Massimiliano Tarozzi, director and founder of the International Research Center on Global Citizenship Education created in 2017 at the University of Bologna (IRC-GLOCED).
The conference follows up on the event hosted by the University of Bologna in 2017: the first international conference entitled “Global Citizenship Education: the role of Education in a Globalised World”, focused on the contribution of higher education to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development through the promotion of Global Citizenship. This was a pioneering event in our country, and a final paper from the conference was presented at the G7 meeting hosted by Italy at the same time.
