Applications Now Open: IPEP Summer School 2026 on Geopolitical Dis/rupture and Education Policy, University of Verona

The Advanced Skills Course “Advancing Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship in the Mediterranean Context: Resource Recovery and Environmental Challenges”, organised within the TNE_MARE project, has concluded. The programme combined an online phase with an intensive week in Tunis.

On 2–3 March, the Sala VIII Centenario (Via Zamboni 33, Bologna) will host an international Forum exploring sustainability from a global perspective. Scholars from Italy, the United States and Japan will engage in interdisciplinary dialogue, bringing together ten partner institutions.

From 25 May to 1 June 2025, a group of students from the University of Bologna took part in a study trip to Tunisia, as part of the course Competences in Global Citizenship. The trip was funded by the Italian Buddhist Institute – SOKA GAKKAI.

On Friday, June 13th at 2:00 p.m. at the University of Bologna’s Department of Philosophy, took place the conference “Decolonising Schools: Educating Global Citizens Amidst Emerging Citizenship and Identity Challenges.”

The relationship with North African partners is increasingly at the core of our Chair’s inter-university strategic collaborations. This is the background to Massimiliano Tarozzi’s invitation to the international conference ‘Explorations et réflexions sur l’identité dans un monde en mutation’ organised in Tunisia by the University of Carthage.

The first special issue of Glocited collects the contributions developed following the training course organised by the Chair and UNIBO in the framework of the REDUC project and addressed to decision-makers and public officials from seven Italian regions.
