Transforming Education Summit in NY
To highlight the pertinence of Global Citizenship Education as a key educational approach to achieve SDG target 4.7, the Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens, in co-operation with UNESCO and the Republics of Korea and Finland, organised an official TES side event devoted exclusively to Global Citizenship Education.
The summit took place on 17 September 2022, as part of the Transforming Education Summit (TES) at UN Headquarters in New York from 16-19 September. It brought together key decision-makers and experts to exchange opinions, shares best practices, highlight hurdles, and present a path forward to inform global strategy on advancing progress towards Global Citizenship Education.
