Heritage Meets the Future – Bologna, 17/18 May 2024
The conference, which celebrates the recognition of the Portici di Bologna as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, aims to launch a discussion on the need to protect the historic urban landscape and to question the role of UNESCO sites. The aim of the two-day event is to identify common strategies to protect the urban heritage from the effects of challenges such as climate change or catastrophic events such as wars, but also ways to protect and enhance it in everyday life, promoting a sense of community and active participation of citizens in the care of their heritage.
Massimiliano Tarozzi will be part of the conference with a presentation on “Cultural heritage for the education of global citizens”.
