Changemakers: a hackathon for climate justice

The climate crisis must be faced now!

Do you want to know how the climate negotiations work and get in touch with young people from all over Italy?

On 7 November 2024, from 17.00 to 20.00, the online hackathon will take place, organised by CESVI in collaboration with INDIRE and experts from EUCLIPA and SYDIC.

Aimed at young people aged 20-35 from all over the country, the hackathon is part of the “Changemakers for Climate Justice. Youth in Action for Climate Justice”, which is co-financed by AICS – Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and in which the UNESCO Chair is a partner.

During the hackathon, the En-ROADS simulation model (developed by Climate Interactive) will be used to explore key technologies and policy solutions to tackle global warming. SYDIC’s experts will run the activity as a simulation of a real emergency climate summit organised by the United Nations, bringing together the different parts of the planet affected by the problem to establish a ‘concrete’ plan to limit warming in line with the objectives of the Paris Agreement.

You can sign up until 4 November by filling out the following Google form.
