Nella tana del bianconiglio. Pedagogical slots between the complexity of the present and the reinvention of the future.
The seminar, promoted by the Municipality of Bologna, the Archiginnasio Library, the Department of Education (EDU) and the Department of Philosophy and Communication (FILCOM) of the University of Bologna, in collaboration with the UNESCO Chair in Global Citizenship Education, will take place on 8 November in the Stabat Mater Hall of the Archiginnasio Library.
The current era confronts us with unprecedented questions and epochal challenges that require a redefinition of the model of thinking and interpretation of reality. Faced with scenarios such as climate change, the resurgence of global conflicts and the challenges posed by technological developments such as artificial intelligence, the cognitive approach and educational references can no longer be anchored in an old paradigm and need to be changed.
Young generations are plagued by an existential crisis caused by the Covid 19 pandemic and the uncertainty of a permanent economic crisis that affects their ability to imagine their future. New generations that seem to be deprived of their own vision of the future as they are permeated by a deep existential malaise.
With the aim of providing opportunities for reflection and initiating a concrete process of dialogue and cooperation between experts, educators and local administrators, the speakers will include:
